TPS3896: TPS3896A's strange SENSE_OUT behave

Hi team,

My customer designed TPS3896A but it seems behave is strange.

Could you advise the possible root cause?

Below waveform is their measured result. why SENSE_OUT signal didn't pull down?

Any idea?

Hi Paul,

I agree, this is strange. Has the customer tried this test with multiple units and gotten the same results? Or has this test been performed only one this one specific unit?

Give me a day and I will see if I have any EVMs with this part and I will test in lab. I will respond by EOB 1/25/2022 with an update.

Jake,

Customer mentioned that they tried several boards and got the same symptom.

they already order 2k unit for their project so it is important for us to make sure what's going on so far?

Hey Paul,

I haven't gotten a chance to check the lab if we have these EVMs in. But looking at your equation 224ms and the scope photo only goes out to about 40ms, can you have the customer get more data, past the 224 ms delay time?
