BQ25700A: FET selection for BQ25700A schematic

Hi

Refer schematic below (Figure 40 in datasheet of BQ25700A). I'm using the same for charging  a battery in 4S configuration which support max charging current of 10A and maximum discharge current of 20A.

I'me planning to use NTMFS5H409NLT1G for all N-FET and SISS05DN-T1-GE3 for P-FET.

What parameters to be considered while selecting FET for this circuitry. Please let me know whether the selected parts affects the operation or not.

    Hi Bivin,

    Max charge current of BQ25700A is 8.128 A. For higher charge current, I would recommend BQ25720. It is a pin to pin compatible part.

    For power stage MOSFET selecting, I would recommend looking at "10 Application and Implementation" of the BQ25720 datasheet. More specifically, "10.2.2.5 Power MOSFETs Selection" of the application section.

    For the BATFET, the primarily loss is conduction loss so minimizing RDS_ON is recommended.
