TPS65023: Could TPS65023 be direct replacement for TPS65023-Q1? What's the difference in addition to temperature range?

Hi team,

May you help me understand the difference between TPS65023RSBR and TPS65023QRSBRQ1?
It seems that the difference is not only temperature range.
For example, current for VDCDC1 is 1.7A for TPS65023 while 1.5A for TPS65023-Q1.
My customer would want to know if they could use TPS65023 as the direct replacement for TPS65023-Q1?
Is there any point that they need to be careful of?

    The primary difference between the two devices is TPS65023QRSBRQ1 has been AEC-Q100 qualified for a specific Temperature Grade and ESD (HBM/CDM) Level. The differences in Temperature Grade and ESD can be found in the respective data sheet for each device. 

    Yes, the current for VDCDC1 is 1.7A for TPS65023 while 1.5A for TPS65023-Q1. Since the customer is replacing TPS65023-Q1 with TPS65023, the higher current limit for TPS65023 should not be an issue. 

    Please note that the "Output voltage range for LDOs" is 1-Vcc V for TPS65023QRSBRQ1 (Table 7.3 of TPS65023-Q1 datasheet), while the "Output voltage range for LDOs" is 1-VINLDO1–2 V for TPS65023QRSBR (Table 6.3 of TPS65023x datasheet). When replacing the TPS65023-Q1 with TPS65023, please ensure the parameter recommendation for TPS65023 Output voltage range for LDOs is met.

    As long as these differences are acceptable to the customer, TPS65023 can be used as a direct replacement for TPS65023-Q1. If the customer has any concerns with these differences please reach out.
