BQ25798: Charge termination current of BQ25798

Part Number: BQ25798

Hi team,

 My customer's   ILIM_HIZ pin set to 1.4A. They  would expect the ILIM_HIZ to kick in at 1.4A. But now only 1A charging current limit. May I consult with you what may cause the 1A charging current limit with BQ25798?

        Customer has read that REG03 which is updated on device boot and is configured by the PROG pin.   They have a 3K resistor to GND on the PROG pin, so it seems we should have a default of 2A.

        Customer don't really need to control the input current limit, but want it to be 1.5A when the VBUS source is plugged in.  They currently aren't configuring the charger (just using the defaults).

They also would like this to work when the batteries are drained (system not running).

ILIM_HIZ calculation

Vilim = VREG(R140)/(R140+R137)
Vilim = 4.8(100K)/(100K + 127K) = 2.11V

(Vilim - 1V)/800mA = Ilim (2.11V - 1V)/800mA = 1.39A
