TPS40003: 3.3Ohms resistance beetwen SW and MOSFET

Part Number: TPS40003
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS40009, , TPS40001

Dear power team,

TPS40003 is supposed to be P2P with TPS40003, but on TPS40003 we have a 3.3Ohms resistance between SW and MOSFET. What is the purpose of this resistance? What are the risk to use TPS40003 without this 3.3Ohms resistance for a drop in replacement of TPS40009 with TPS40003?

Thanks in advance for your answer
