BQ25896: Termination current accuracy out of expected

Hi team,

My customer is using our BQ25896 for their

May I know the accuracy of termination current if ITERM register was set for 64 mA in BQ25896. In customer's application, 125 mA termination current was measured with ICHG register set for 1536mA at room temperature. The tolerance is up to 95.3%!

Charging test result with 2 different board devices was showed as below. (one is green curve and one is yellow curve)

The curves of charging current have different decreasing slope and termination current that would lead device charging time to have 40 minutes difference. The total charging time is 3 hrs 30 mins for the green one and 4 hrs 10 mins for the yellow one. The tolerance is too large for customer.

Hi,

The spec is not available for Iterm=64mA setting. In general, the current accuracy gets worse as ITERM setting goes lower.

Customer would like to know more about whether there is test spec of Iterm=64mA.

And, customer would like to have your suggestion about the big charging time tolerance. Thanks.
