UCC28730: Require reference PSpice model circuit on UCC28730

Part Number: UCC28730

I am trying to simulate the part UCC28730 on Pspice for TI by using model given in its library

But unable to get DRV Signal, voltage level at HV, VCC, VS and CS pins is as defined in electrical characteristic of part as per datasheet

If anyone can help to provide the running model of UCC28730 with some basic circuit

  • Hello Subhash,

Thank you for your interest in the UCC28730 flyback controller.

If you are trying to run the UCC28730 in an open loop manner with various static voltages applied to the inputs per the datasheet parameters, it will not run. Those characteristics are obtained by automatic test equipment in various test modes.

For the device model to run, it needs dynamic signals at the VS and CS inputs, just like in a real circuit.
You could develop interactive voltage sources to simulate the signals for these inputs, or it would be simpler to build a flyback power stage for the controller, or simplest yet is to download TI's pre-built PSpice model for the UCC28730 : https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/slum527.

After observing the per-built model behavior, you can alter system parameters to see how behavior changes.

    Regards,
    Ulrich
