Hello,

I am evaluating BQ79656 battery management ICs. I am planning to measure battery current through this IC, I got the datasheet of BQ79616 ICs instead of BQ79656 ICs, I need details of registers which are required to set below points.

How can I set the decimation ratio? As per my knowledge, we have to set ADC acquisition time & number of averaging count for sinc3 filter. It would be good to provide a table of ENOB against the number of averaging & acquisition time.

What is the value of VLSB_CS?

How can I get the value of current? There must be some register to enter the value of the current sense resistor?

HI Kumar,

The decimation ratio setting is controlled by ADC_CTRL1[CS_DR1:0]. The VLSB_CS is 14.9nV/LSB.

Can you share with me a list of registers & their usage? Especially for CS_ADC.

Getting a full datasheet will consume more time compared to being shared by you.

Hello Ted,

Any update regarding registers? I had requested the full datasheet of BQ79656-Q1 IC. Earlier I got a datasheet of BQ79616 instead of BQ79656.

Please confirm that you will provide me with the datasheet of BQ79656-Q1. We already signed NDA with TI. So, please do needful.

Pls see CS_DR as below. Keep in mind it's single measurement time, for continuous time it's around 1/3.

The detail is written in DS 9.3.2.4.
