LM27313-Q1: Alternate Part Evaluation: LM2733XMFX/NOP & LMR64010XMFX/NOP

Part Number: LM27313-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM27313, , LM2733, LMR64010, LM2731, LM2735-Q1, LMR62014

Hello,

Currently we are using LM27313-Q1 for boosting an input of 5V to 6.2V. We are planning to use LM2733XMFX/NOP & LMR64010XMFX/NOP as an alternatives to LM27313.

Kindly let us know if these are good alternatives for operating for an output of 6.2V with 5V input.

  • Hi Mayur,

I think LM2733 is also out of stock on TI.com. LM2731 and LMR64010 are suitable for your application. If Q1 version chip is needed, LM2735-Q1 has input range of 2.7-5.5V which can be used but has little margin on input voltage fluctuation.

  • Hello,

Thank you for the new suggestion. Will surely consider it.

With respect to LMR64010, in the datasheet description says, "The 40V internal switch makes these solutions perfect for boosting to voltages of 16V or greater."

As it is given as suitable for 16V or greater,  I wanted to know whether it will suggested for 6.2V output application.

  • Hi Mayur,

Yes, that is also my concern and why I suggested several chips for your reference. Typically, LMR64010 is used for output voltage higher than 10V. LM2731 and LMR62014 is more suitable for 6.5V output with about 20V internal switch.

But for your application, input voltage is 5V. LM27313 internal switch is 28V and package is SOT23, so LMR61040 is also suggested because it can be used and the spec is similar. You can choose one from the recommended chips by spec and purchase situation.
