TPS546D24AEVM: do we have TPS546D24AEVM GUI tuning guide

Part Number: TPS546D24AEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS546D24A,

hi team,

do we have tuning guide for TPS546D24A 2-phs EVM GUI?

thanks.

What do you mean by a "tuning guide" ?

The User's Guide is published here - https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/sluuc47

The TI FUSION Digital Power Designer Software is here - https://www.ti.com/tool/FUSION_DIGITAL_POWER_DESIGNER

Perhaps if you let me know what you are trying to do, I can help guide you.

  • hi Peter,

I look into the User's Guide Figure 10-10 monitor screen, finds the Vout for Ph1 is different from Ph0 in PMBus Readings.

ideal test shows when change VOUT to 0.75V, ph1 is still different while ph0 is accurate on GUI PMBus Readings.

is this OK? or did I miss some settings?

    thanks.

The Ph1 (Follower device in the 2-device stack) is reporting the voltage on its VOSNS pin when queried by the FUSION GUIDE read of "READ_VOUT" while the PHASE command is equal to 01.  It is reporting the voltage on the VOSNS pin of Ph0 (stack controller device) when PHASE is set to FFh or 00h.

The VOSNS pin of the follower device is pulled up to BP1V5 through the internal resistance to GOSNS, so it is saturating the internal analog to digital converter (ADC) and reporting 0.925781V.

This feature allows the VOSNS pin to be connected to another voltage through a lower impedance divider to report a scaled version of another voltage in the system if desired.  In the case of the TPS546D24AEVM, where VOSNS is not connected to another voltage, it does not provide meaningful telemetry.

Nothing is wrong, and you did not miss anything.
