Is it possible some error in calculating Vout in the spreadsheet has gone undetected? Sometimes, the col for Vout will be wrong and in white so one cannot correct that.

An interesting item is colors in the rows of applicable Controllers LM5017,18,19, 5160 etc.

one expects to see 5017 applicable for all being with the highest current and others select cases only.

But I see red for it in our design for the highest output power while others apply.

Is there something else I missed regarding 5017 chip?

Any review comments on this will be highly appreciated.

Hi, Robin,

Could you share your application condition and input in below xls, file ,and capture where error occur. It's not very clear whta's you question is.

And VB code have some unstable issue itself while compiled, sometimes if you found the inputs not reaction the calculation change, reopen the file is the fast way to solve.

Another way is using Webench tool for LM5017 design. please check if this way could help you.

I am using web bench values- but that is for 1 output.

We have 3 outputs in addition to the buck output.

The spreadsheet attached will show that.

hi, Robin,

Thanks for waiting, I have tried the cal-tool, it looks LM5017 could only use limited current with in 100mA, it maybe some issue in the tool.

From the datasheet it should be 300mA for flybuck application, your design is good to use, I also checked and share a webench design to you , single output could be used to simulate 3 output condition if you put current together in one.
