LP3996: alternative part for a buck converter with a Power-On Reset function

I would recommend the TLV751 for the LDO to replace. I will tag the buck converter group to comment on what buck to recommend. If you have specs or a schematic that would also be helpful.

Do you need a dual buck or a single output buck? The LDO mentioned has dual outputs.

Hi Murthy,

From what I understood from the datasheet of LP3996, the POR pin is similar to the Power Good (PG) pin in a buck converter. A Soft Start (SS) pin can be used to control the output voltage ramp-up slope during start-up. An external capacitor connected from this pin to GND defines the rise time for the internal reference voltage.

Please have a look at the TPS62851x family.

- Do you need two output rails or a single output buck converter?

- What is the Vin, Vout, Iout requirements for each rail?

- What is the Application?
