TPS62110-EP: Feedback voltage tolerance at up to 85C

Hi Team,

Two questions from a customer:

1. The EP version of TPS62110 supports a higher temp range than the standard and Q1 versions for which it has a higher feedback voltage tolerance. Does the EP version support the lower feedback voltage tolerance up to 85C as well like the lower cost versions?

2. With the TPS62111Q (automotive), the material may be in ambient air and processed for 168h, after which it must be dried. Then the 168h start over again. For TPS62111 (Industrial), the material may be in the ambient air for 1 year until it has to be dried. This makes sense considering the higher temperature tolerance of the Q1 version. But then the EP version with even higher temp range than Q1 can be stored for 1 year again. Can you elaborate on this please?

Hi Franz,

1. For the feedback accuracy, the TPS62110-EP should have same numbers (+/-2%) as the TPS62110 and TPS62110-Q1 for temperatures below 85C.

2. Let me check on this with the quality team.

On item 2, after checking with quality team, we have tighter requirements for -Q1 part. So, we use MSL3 for the TPS62110-Q1 part and MSL2 for the TPS62110-EP and TPS62110.

Thanks for checking, Amod. The reply to Q 2 I don't understand as EP parts normally have the tighter requirements. In this case for example operating junction temperature:

EP: -55 to 125C
Q1: -40 to 125C

The MSL spec difference is due to the more strict moisture absorption during assembly on the -Q1 part.
