Good day. We have this design clarification from client with regards to the two EVMs.
According to the evaluation kits of BQ76920EVM and BQ76930EVM, the voltage sensing pins VCx can serve as the current bypass transistors. In the BQ76920EVM, VCx pins are connected with 100-ohm resistors in series. But in BQ76930EVM, VCx pins are connected with additional circuits to drive the external bypass transistor and resistor.
What is the reason the BQ76930EVM uses external bypass transistors other than the on-chip transistors?
