Hi Team,

My customer wants to use the temp sense function of this device to provide an over temp shutdown pre-warning, but looking at the EC tables specs on I_SNSTit seems that there is some pretty big overlap in min/max:

Is it expected that we would need to provide some form of calibration during the manufacturing process to be able to accurately use this feedback?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the question. What customer might do is measure the current at room temp and use the 0.0112 coefficient to calculate the temp and current relationship. Otherwise, the customer would have to use the accuracy defined in the datasheet.

Can you help me understand, is the variation here primarily due to the assumed variation in VBB from the test conditions?

It's mainly part to part variation, and the error is pretty consistent across different VS.
