TPS548D22: TPS548D22 VBP

Part Number: TPS548D22

Hi:

According to the TPS548D22 datasheet, VBP is 2.93V in the page6. However, the BP LDO output voltage is 5.07V. Why is the discription different?

Thanks!

During the Power On Reset of the TPS548D22, the BP voltage is brought to 2.93V and held there while detecting the voltage on the programming pins (FSEL, MODE, VSEL).  Then, once pin detection is completed, BP is raised to 5.07V during normal operation.

BP is held below the UVLO voltage in order to ensure a stable, regulated BP voltage during pin detection, and then raised to a higher 5.07V to provide a higher MOSFET gate drive voltage for greater efficiency, especially at high currents.
