TPS7H4001-SP: 5962-1820501VXC

Part Number: TPS7H4001-SP

We had procured 5962-1820501VXC based on the April 2020 Datasheet which only contained this part number with " Radiation-hardness-assured up to TID 100 krad(Si) (RHA qualification in progress)"

Since then, the updated Datasheet states that 5962-1820501VXC is "Flight grade QMLV" but NOT "Flight grade QMLVRHA 100 krad(Si)"

Flight grade QMLVRHA 100 krad(Si) is now designated as 5962R1820501VXC

Please provide details on whether or not the two parts are identical minus additional screening?

Hey Tim,

The differences in the two parts have to do what additional testing we do.
The 5962-1820501VXC is called QMLV.
The 5962R1820501VXC is called QMLV-RHA.
There is a table here on page 5 showing the difference:

The big difference is the additional TID testing for Group E.

Are the QMLV parts the ones that fails Group E testing?

Are there any metrics on the failure rates of the parts involved in Group E testing?

QMLV parts do not fail Group E, these are just parts Group E isn't taken on.
