BQ25120A: Max current for LS/LDO output

Hi,

In the datasheet it says that the maximum current is 100mA for the LS/LDO output.

Does this hold for both configurations, i.e. load switch and LDO? If not, what would the maximum current be for the LS output configuration?

Hi Goekhan,

For the loadswitch mode, you want to stay at less than the min spec. of current limit which is <275mA.

Thanks for your answer. Follow-up question: what is then the difference of the two parameters I_ocl_ldo and I_LS/LDO? Shouldn't the minimum of the I_ocl_ldo be the same as the maximum of I_ls/ldo?

Hi Michael,

The I_LS_LDO is the output current you can draw while still maintaining regulation. The I_OCL_LDO is a current limit which is applicable for the loadswitch mode.
