UCC28064A: UCC28064

Part Number: UCC28064A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP30763,

Hi All,

On PMP30763 reference design sheet 1.   Transistor Q11 is used to pull down COMP pin.

Please give insight why this is done.

Thank You.

  • Hi Stuart,

Q11 is there to affect the soft start time.  Since there is no dedicated soft-start on the UCC28064A, you're stuck with the soft-start time provided by the compensation components. This circuit allows the designer to separate it from the comp values.
