TPS7B87-Q1: Product recommendation

Part Number: TPS7B87-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7B70-Q1

Hi expert,

My customer was using MAX25210 on their project now we would like to use our portfolio to fight against them.

Here are their features need:
1. LDO Output could be fixed 3.3V or 5V, or be adjustable output.
2. 5V undervoltage/overvoltage detection
3. The 5V overvoltage/undervoltage reset output delay time can be set.
4. Output capacity: Iout should be 300mA and above

Please refer to MAX25210 datasheet and promote us some proper devices for customer reference, thank you!

  • Hello Zirui,

TPS7B87-Q1 is a good start. Is it ok if the part is not P2P?

Here is a quick comparison, in which I also added TPS7B70-Q1 if P2P is not needed.

      MAX25210 TPS7B87-Q1 TPS7B70-Q1

Just to make sure that I understood correctly, when you mention  undervoltage/overvoltage detection, are you referring to Power-Good functionality? If so, you can adjust the PG level with TPS7B70-Q1.

However, TPS7B87-Q1 will need an external circuit in order to pull it up to an external voltage rail, since this feature has an internal pull up.

    Hope this information is helpful.
