TPSM82823: errata/additional info

Part Number: TPSM82823

Hi team,

Is there any errata/additional info, for example how the device would operate “when input voltage has additional ripple” or “when input voltage has spike”?

Those behavior is difficult to predict from the datasheet specification, so if you have any data, we’d really appreciate it.

Please feel free to contact offline if that is preferable.

Best regards,

Kurumi

  • Hi Kurumi-san,

In general, as long as the input voltage is within the recommended input voltage (2.4V to 5.5V), the device should work normally. However, if the voltage spike (continuous event) is over 5.5V but less than the absolute maximum rating (6V), this can lead to IC degradation that can shorten the lifetime. And having a Vin => 6V can lead to immediate device failure.

The customer can perform a PSRR measurement if the concern is about the effect of Vin ripple voltage. It determines the capability of the DC-DC converter to reject the noise over a particular frequency band.

I hope I was able to answer your queries.

  • Hi Excel-san,

Understood, thank you for your reply.
