UCD9090-Q1: [ERROR] Device(s) in ROM mode

Part Number: UCD9090-Q1

Hello TI team,

After powering up the UCD9090-Q1, during the start process of TI Fusion Designer I get the following error:

If I click yes I can operate the device normally. As soon as I power cycle the device, the configuration is lost and not saved to NVM. What would be the solution to this issue?

Thank you and kind regards,

Iancu Radu

  • Hi, Radu,

Main Fusion GUI only changes device ROM mode to Normal mode temporary. To change device ROM mode to Normal mode, please use UCD90XX Device GUI.

UCD90XX Device GUI can be launched from PC Start menu -> Fusion GUI -> UCD90XX Device GUI (below image). Once UCD90XX Device GUI is opened, click on "Scan Device in ROM mode", if found, the "Command ROM to execute its Program" link will be enable. Click on that link to change device to Program Mode. Once done, wait a few seconds, power cycle device, then click on "DEVICE_ID" link to test device operating in Program Mode.
