UCC24612: UCC24612 for symmetrical supply

Part Number: UCC24612

Dear Experts,

I want to make +/-21V output for an LLC PSU. I built the prototype but it seems that the bridge rectifier does not work. I can se only a little signal across VD-VS pins. It looks like the MOSFETs body diodes work only. I see it also on the thermal camera that it gets too hot, so the Rds on does not bridge out the body diode.

Here is a sketch of the actual circuit - actually I completed it with 15V Zener-diodes between pins VDD and VS to avoid overvoltage, together this I increased the 10R series resistors to 1kR:

  • Hi, Mr. Bihari:

    Thanks for reaching us.

VDS signal should be a little since the VSD is 0.69V, and once MOSFET conducts, the VDS is I * RDS, which is more smaller than VSD. To look into UCC24612's operation,

Would you please share some waveforms to be a reference? We could start from U351. I need VGS, VDS and VC355. It would be helpful to get more information about the situation.

Btw, please share me the test condition. What's the output current when you tested by thermal camera?

    Regards,

    Wesley
