I am looking at the LP8556 because I like its capability of pure current control mode. In order to use this pure current control it looks like I can only do this when using a combination of I2C and PWM.
I am finding the setup of pure current control a little confusing and want to confirm that it is do able so that I have an LED current ramp from 0A to CURRENT_MAX with no PWM output at all like in the other two control mode.
The application would be used to run diodes in series with a pure constant current output. Is there a better part for this that might only need PWM as an input. Trying to achieve linear control from 0mA to 5mA?
