Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2776, SN74LVC1G14-Q1
Hi Team,
The recommended operating voltage is 5.25V, and the max is 5.5V. Is there any concern with operating this at 5.3V.
Application 5.3Vin -> -5.3Vout
thank you,
Delaney

Hi Delaney,
Thanks for your question.
I wouldn't use this device for a 5.3V nominal input voltage. You have only a 200mV margin with respect to the absolute maximum ratings and if we consider VIN tolerance and possible voltage spikes, it is very likely that you will exceed the Absolute Maximum Ratings in the field, therefore compromising reliability.
I would look for a device with at least 5.5V in the recommended operation conditions. LM2776 could be an example.
Thanks,
Stefano
Thanks Stefano,
It would need to be auto-grade...so I will look at inverting buffers, perhaps the SN74LVC1G14-Q1.
Thank you,
Delaney
Hi Delaney,
Thanks for your feedback.
Unfortunately I don't believe that we have any automotive charge pumps with VIN > 5.25V (recommended operating conditions).
Thanks,
Stefano
