LP8866EVM: Hybrid Mode configuration (Standalone)

Part Number: LP8866EVM

I understand that currently LP8866EVM is configured to operate in the Phase-Shift PWM MODE with I2C device address : 0x2A (as 11.0K is connected to Mode pin of LP8866), but I plan to use the development board for “HYBRID- MODE”, I have some question in this regards:

1) In data-sheet of LP8866, it is stated that resistor connected to Mode pin decide I2C device address & MODE of LP8866 and we have two possible of I2C device addresses: 0x2B &0x2A with four configurations for MODE of LP8866 for each address value. Is there any benefit of using 0x2A over 0x2B?

2) I am currently interface LP8866EVM to microprocessor IC as a standalone and wish to use “HYBRID” Mode with 0x2B as I2C device address. In this case I need to replace R 31 (R_Mode) from 11.0K to 4.75K?

3) Using LP8866EVM in Hybrid Mode, Do I need to connect PWM pin of LP8866 to uC to use PWM dimming control Mode for intensity below 12.5%? And for the remaining intensity level with be controlled using analog dimming control send data byte over I2C? (I know it may sound silly, but just would like to confirm this one)
