Hello Ti team,

Our initial design was on BQ2060A BMS IC , now wanted to shift design on New part BQ2085 BMS IC.

Do you recommend for same ?

Li-Ion Battery Pack :

Voltage : 14.8V / 4.8AH

Cell Config : 2P4S.

Which Hardware evaluation / Demo kit / Simulation software we should buy to use it get done...

Hello Bhupendra,

bq2085 is old and EVM is not availabale. I suggest you buy the bq40z50 EVM and use bq40z50. The software for it is bqStudio

But few concern about : SBS 1.1 compliant and SSOP Package....

bq40z50 is also SBS compliant. Other options (older than bq40z50 but newer than bq2085) are bq20zxx products like bq20z70

Online portal / datasheet not mentioning SBS compliant for bq40z50.

Hello Bhupendra,

bq40z50 implements the SBS standard (at least for the most widely used commands). There may be a few commands that do not full comply with the SBS specification and perhaps that is why it does not claim SBS compliance.
