TPS630250: Under voltage lockdown and EN LOW not working

Part Number: TPS630250

HI TI team,

Currently we are using this part in our design and we are facing the below issues when connecting the input pin to the battery.

1. Undervoltage lock down is not happening as soon as the battery voltage is falling below 2V, even at 1.8V battery voltage we are getting 1.6V output which is not required for our circuitry

2. We tried connecting EN pin to the input pin using a voltage divider, In that case although the voltage on the EN pin is below 1.2V the IC is still in operation.

Currently our battery is not having the PCM, so this is causing a major issue for us. Kindly please help us,

Below is the schematics we used.

  • Hi   Mukhesh,

Typical value of UVLO is 1.7V, so , yes, it will keep working when Vin is about 1.8V.

if you want shunt down this device by EN, you should keep the EN lower than 0.4V.  between 0.4 to 1.2V,  device‘s state is not sure.

how do you think add a Pmos FET to pulled down EN to zero when battery is lower than 2V.

    Regards

    Tao
