LM7480-Q1: Design help to drive 130A current

Hi Experts,

Good day. Cx is using LM7480-Q1 and asking assistance to select appropriate MOSFET for 130A output current.

May we know how many MOSFETs are needed on this application?

    For high current applications, you can consider using LM74720-Q1 or LM74722-Q1. These devices have higher gate drive strength when compared to that of LM7480-Q1. Regarding Mosfet selection, below are the three important parameters that you need to consider,

    1. VDS rating
    2. VGS rating and
    3.  RDS(ON)  

    No. of FETs required in parallel depends on the Max load current, acceptable voltage drop across the FETs in steady state, power loss in the FETs in steady state, Max Junction temperature of the FETs (generally recommended to be less than 100C).
