Hello,
My customer is facing delivery issue of TPS55330RTER.Looking at TPS55340 datasheet, TPS55340RTER looks the same package, WQFN(16), and pin assignment.
TPS55340 Vin range is wider than TPS55330.
Could the TPS55340MRTETEP be a drop-in replacement of the TPS55330RTER without changing any peripheral components?
Or it is not so straight forward?
Best regards,
K.Hirano
Hi K. Hirano,
Thank you for your question.
As you notice correctly, both the TPS55330 and TPS55340 have the same specifications and pin layout, with the main difference being the larger Vin range of the TPS55340.
Because of this, the TPS55340 can indeed be used as a drop-in replacement without changing other parts of the circuit.
I would still suggest to run some tests with the new part, just to make sure the IC behaves exactly like with the old part, but there shouldn't be any major differences.
Best regards,
Niklas
