BQ40Z50EVM-561: Reading single cell voltage is high

Part Number: BQ40Z50EVM-561
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ40Z50

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

Using the BQ40Z50 development board, the actual measured voltage is same. However, the fourth cell is read higher than the other three sections, with a 0.8-V differential.

Could you help check what's the reason for that? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hello Cherry,

They are using an un-modified EVM board that was voltage and current calibrated?

There shouldn't be an offset with any of the cells without some modification, or ESD damage. Are they seeing this on many boards or just the 1 EVM?

    Sincerely,

    Wyatt Keller
