TPS65251: TPS65251 Tina stability plot

Hi,

I'd like to ask about averaging model of TPS65251 in Tina.

I'm making stability plots and don't know why:

1. Phase plot starts from 100deg?

2. Phase margin is calculated by Tina in respect to 0deg Phase, not 180deg

Shouldn't the margin be on the attached picture 180deg - 28deg? Because if phase is 180 or -180 the instability occurs

Regards,

Adam

  • Hi Adam,

    Thanks for reaching out.

On the attached picture of phase, 180deg has already been added inside. Thus, you can directly read the y-axis which is exactly the phase margin.

Regard low frequency phase, I have set the frequency range from 0.1Hz( which is more close to DC state) to 1MHz. You can find low frequency phase around 180deg(0+180deg) in the figure shown below:

I think it also make sense from DC phase view.

Hope it will be helpful. Please also let us know if there is any more concern. Thanks!
