Hello

a 7S 2P battery pack of ours is designed for a customer application.

In that application there is a big capacitor 1000mF and 63V connected to the battery terminals. Sometimes, by inserting a battery placed in ship mode in the system, the battery is awaken upon insertion because the capacitor, still with some load, generate a charge pulse enough to be detected as a wakeup condition.

Question: is it possible firmware wise to setup a delay so that the wake condition need to be applied for a certain minimum time ?

Hi Pietro,

The wakeup function is from the BQ769x0 AFE. When the BQ769x0 sees a rising edge on the TS1 pin, it will come out of SHIP mode and supply power to the VCC pin of the BQ78350 brining it out of Shutdown mode. So there is nothing the BQ78350 can do to prevent this wakeup action. It is important to prevent the TS1 pin wake condition in this case - maybe you need to add filtering to this pin if crosstalk is the problem.
