TPS62067-Q1: Question about changing TLV62065-Q1 to TPS62067-Q1.

Part Number: TPS62067-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62065-Q1

Hi,

The customer is considering changing TLV62065-Q1 to TPS62067-Q1.

Please review whether TPS62067-Q1 can be used for the existing schematic.

[TLV62065-Q1 Schematic]

Q1. Do not use the PG function of the MODE/PG pin.

Is pull-up resistance essential when connecting to AVIN?

  • Hi,

It is essential to applied voltage on PG pin lower or equal to AVIN.  Datasheet suggest to have pull up resistor to adjust the voltage to help to stay below supply.

If there is possibility to keep the pull up resistor for PG pin then I would suggest to keep.

Schematic looks external components selection look okay to me.

    Best regards,

    Tanvee

  • Hi Tanvee,

    Thank you for your support.

The customer wants to start mass production.

    Schematic modification is not possible.

Can I use TPS62067-Q1 without changing the schematic?

  • Hi,

Yes, it is okay to use same schematic for TPS62067-Q1 with consider that PG pin will not get supply higher than AVIN.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,

    Tanvee
