UCC24636: Rpl output resistor value

Part Number: UCC24636

I recently used webench to create an "mains" ac to 5v dc isolated converter (see https://webench.ti.com/appinfo/webench/scripts/SDP.cgi?ID=829567FEA10E90C3)

i noticed that the output has a resister Rpl between 5v+ and GND

while on the UCC24636 datasheet (pg 23) i can see Rpl but no mention of calculating its value or its reason for being there

  • Hi, Mr. Tyerman:

Thanks for your interests of UCC24636.

RPL is a pre-load resistor. It has no thing to do with SR controller. I am sorry the figure 19 on page 23 make you confused.  Please ignore it I would propose to fix this figure, and let me know if you have any other questions of UCC24636.

    Regards,

    Wesley
