LM76003: SYNC/MODE Pin and Operating Mode (PFM/DCM)

Part Number: LM76003

If the SYNC/MODE pin is held LOW, will the device operate in DCM mode or PFM mode?
Or is there another way DCM/PFM is decided?

I'm having trouble understanding how to set/control operation from the Datasheet...

  • Hi

yes, when SYNC/MODE pin is low, it will be operating at PFM/DCM. DCM means discontinue current mode, when the load decrease, the current of inductor will become discontinue when the synchronous mosfet working at diode emulation mode. when the load become smaller and smaller, the frequency will decrease at DCM mode, so we called it PFM mode
