TPS2373: Controller can be paired with TPS2373

Part Number: TPS2373
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5155, UCC2897A, UCC2897, , , , TIDA-050045

Hello there:

Due to the component shortage problem of LM5155, I am wondering what are the alternative options to replace with LM5155 when use that as a PoE++ power supply design. Right now I think LM5155/5156/5157/5158 are possible options, and on the evaluation board TI uses UCC2897A as a controller. I am looking for more options, thank you so much in advance!

  • Hello Ryan,

I am on the Power Over Ethernet team, and the LM5155 and UCC2897's don't fall under our product line. I think to get the best response for new parts, please create a new post and tag only those parts.

In this power space, we have a new part, The TPS23730, which integrates the TPS2373 and the DCDC controller. It supports up to 51W. This could help eliminate a part in the BOM.

    Please see the TPS23730EVM-093 for a 12V solution and TIDA-050045 for a 5V solution.

If this post answers your question, please indicate so by marking this thread as resolved. Thank you.
