TPS65279V: Inquiry about the TPS65279V application

Hello,

My customer has some questions about the TPS65279V application.

1. Is it possible to operate the TPS56279V normally only with H/W setting without I2C control?

2. There is a difference in the COMP pins connection guide between the typical application of the datasheet and the schematic of the EVM user guide as shown below.

What is the difference between the two reference guides?

(1) If I2C is not used, ADDR can be floating, pull high or pull low. Suggest SDA, SCL pin pull low or pull high, not floating. You can also find related thread here. TPS65279V: Not using I2C control of TPS65279V - Power management forum - Power management - TI E2E support forums

(2) These are two different types of compensation circuit. The compensation circuit shown left is a basic type. The additional capacitor in the right figure (C261/C231) is used to cancel the zero from the ESR associated with output capacitor. It is recommended to place it in the schematic.
