Hi,

I had purchase bq76940EVM. To run this i have download battery management studio and bq76940 software. I have one doubt related with bq studio that in chemistry view their is some battery models. we have to use that battery model only which has 3.2 normal voltage or can we use different battery chemistry or model with 3.7 normal voltage rating. If yes than how we can update that battery model. Please give your suggestion. I will be very thank full to you.

To select the Chem ID for your battery, I recommend following section 2.3 "Determining Chem ID" of the linked document.

This will guide you on how to update your Chem ID in BQStudio.

Hi Caleb,

First of all thanks for your suggestion. I have one more query related with bq studio. In bq studio chemistry view battery model 18650 (nominal voltage is 3.2 volt), manufacturer HETER, with chemistry ID 0447 is present. Can we use same battery model 18650 with 3.7 nominal voltage or we have to update it.

Hey Sandhya,

Since you can't find the right nominal voltage, I recommend using our GPCCHEM tool to identify the closest Chem ID match for your cells.
