TPS65381EVM: tiger board connection

Part Number: TPS65381EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65381A-Q1, TPS65381-Q1

In order to program the EVM board it calls out a request for a tiger board. However, there are some forum topics which state we cannot get this anymore and TI was working on a USB integration instead ( but that was 2 years ago). Any update on the progress of this? Also, is there a tps65381AEVM board, or only the tps65381evm board, are there any concerning difference using the non-A version demo board while planning on using the A version in production?

  • Hi Ben,

Current TPS65381-Q1 units are the same silicon as the TPS65381A-Q1 units so current EVMs will have units equivalent to TPS65381A-Q1 units. We are currently working on the release process of the new TPS65381A-Q1 EVM with the expectation it will be released this year.

    Best regards,

    Layne J
