UCC28180: TINA TI- Unencrypted model request

Part Number: UCC28180

Sir,

I am trying to simulate UCC28180 reference design by removing the CCMDCM block and replacing it by MOSFET so as to see internal switching waveform but it is showing convergence issue. I came to know that transient model is derived from average model whose netlist is written in BOOSTCCMDCM block. I want unencrypted model of UCC28180 & BOOSTCCMDCM block so that i can manipulate the netlists and include it in UCC28180 model.

  • Hello Akshat and thank you for your interest in the UCC28180.

Unfortunately, TI doesn't typically release the unencrypted models. Regardless, you wouldn't be able to use them as you've proposed as the models aren't device modes, but rather they're behavioral models and the blocks can't simply be replaced with individual components. It's a little misleading when you look at it, but if you probe the signal out of the GATE pin, you'll see that it's not the same as the gate drive signal that will be generated by the actual controller.

Let me know if there's another way I can help you.

    Regards,

    Ray
