Good day!

Can two BQ2970 ICs be cascaded for 2 cells of a 2S battery pack and used?

    Hey Veeramani,

    The BQ2970 cannot be cascaded. Each device monitors one cell and there is no pin to accept a fault condition from another device.

    You could set up a system in a way that a microcontroller reads the status of COUT and DOUT from each device and enables/disables the CHG and DSCHG FETs when an event happens.
