 the LM73606-Q1 information on light-storm withstand.

the  LM36006 is used on design, but lightning residual voltage is more than 40V noted on absolute value.   we expect between 50-60V spike  ( 8/50µs ).

could you give help to analyze this.

note . there are LM76003-Q1 - 60V 3.5A/2.5A Synchronous Voltage Regulator BUT NOT IN STOCK

    Hello

    As long as your spike voltage is below the absolute maximum rating of the regulator, then you should be safe.

    If your maximum spike voltage is 60V, then a device with an absolute maximum rating of 60V or above would be OK.

    The LM76003 has an absolute rating of 65V, while the LMR36006 has a rating of 66V.  Both devices are OK for a spike

    voltage of 60V.
