LP5036: red LED stuck on after ESD

Part Number: LP5036
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5030

Hi,

I do have similar problem with LP5036 / LP5030 LED driver like in post:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/969250/lp5036evm-lp5036evm-with-red-led-stuck-on-no-longer-able-to-talk-to-chip?tisearch=e2e-quicksearch&keymatch=LP5036%20esd

After precompliance testing of our product with ESD contact discharge (15kV) to a nearby metal part, the red LEDs are stuck on.
The metal part hast no direct connection to the pcb.
Communication to the LED driver via I2C is still possible. Also the red LEDs are on even after a reset or power cycle.

To one DUT it had happened that this failure was magically gone after about one week. After ESD testing it once more, the failure could be reproduced.

Can you assist us and give clues as to what the defect is and how the noise immunity could be improved.
