Hello,
I'm evaluating some options for driving a TEC / peltier device. One such option is a buck converter, as opposed to H-bridge / motor-driver / etc.
Ability to sink current is strictly necessary.
External FETs almost strictly necessary, otherwise 5A minimum output current, 8A+ preferred.
Input voltage is 15V. Output voltage is <15V, buck style. up to 28V would be ideal and cover practically all use-cases.
Higher frequency is best, for L/C size reasons.
Down-to-0V regulation is ideal but not strictly necessary.
high-volume or otherwise low risk of obsolence / stock-issues, preferred.
I posted something similar in the motor-driver forum, as well.
