LM5175EVM-HP: Switching PWM issue for over 10A output

Part Number: LM5175EVM-HP

Hi

We would like to use the LM5175EVM-HP to run the validation for the application (12V/15A). However, we were seeing the switching PWW rising issue and would like to check with you.

We know the LM5175EVM-HP can only support up to 10A, so we modified the Inductor/Cin/Cout/R-ISNS for the 300W loading according to the Webench design to run the validation.

 However, we are still seeing below PWM waveforms, and would like to confirm with you if it is correct to change the Inductor/Cin/Cout/R-ISNS on EVM for the desired application? or the EVM can only support up to 10A.

Because of the abnormal PWM behavior, the ringing is due to over-temperature on switching MOSFETs. May I have your support to check the issue for us? Thanks.

1. 12V/8A -> Normal PWM behavior.

2. 12/13A -> abnormal PWM behavior.

3. 12V/15A -> abnormal PWM behavior.
