LM5122: LM5122 not reaching the maximum expected output.

I am designing this boost converter to give me an output voltage of 100V with a current of 25 to 30A. When trying to simulate my current on LTspice, the output does not reach the maximum expected voltage at the output. I would like it if someone could look at the design for me to be sure I did my calculation correctly. See the screen shot for the circuit I am trying to design and simulate.

Thank you for using E2E forums, May I know your design specs such as Vin (min, max and typical), Vout, Iout and Fsw.

Hello Haroon,

This are the specification for my design.

Vin_min = 9V

Vin_Nor = 14

Vin_Max= 20

Vout = 100V

Iout = 20A

Fsw = 150KHz

can the LM5122 produce a power out of up to 2kW or not?

Hi Vincent,

For that high of power I would suggest using multiphase Lm5122, a single LM5122 cannot handle that much power.

Hello Haroon,

Thanks for getting back to me. There is no information in the datasheet about how to connect it in multiphase. I would like to know if there is any evaluation board that shows how to connect it in multiphase so I can be able to achieve this output.

Hi Vincent,

Actually in the datasheet on page 30 you can see the dual phase interleaved boost configuration. Also, this link can help you explaining how the device works in the dual phase mode https://training.ti.com/node/1133033

As for the EVM we have LM5122EVM-2PH https://www.ti.com/tool/LM5122EVM-2PH and there you can find all the information you need. Please let me know if you have any questions.
