Can this buck regulator operate in continuous conduction mode or PSM with an input of 39V and output of 5V 200mA while preventing 0 current through the inductor?

Hi Ian,

To meet your non 0 current condition we need to have a ripple that's less than 400mA pk to pk. According to the calc tool this is possible in PFM mode. I've attached my modified calc tool with your conditions. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
