Hi expert,
My customer wants to add a protection circuit to protect the UC2844.
It is to detect the voltage of the comp pin. Under normal load conditions, it should be between 0-4.5V. If the auxiliary source output is short-circuit, the comp pin will rise to more than 5V.
At this time, the protection circuit will pull the comp to 0, so that the 2844 will not be driven, thus protecting the circuit.
Using 5V as the short-circuit detection threshold is easy to misjudge. We want to set the threshold between 5.5-6.2V. Check the specifications in the specification. When COMP outputs a high level, the minimum value is 5V, and the typical value is 6V.

Problems: When the short-circuit detection threshold is set to 5.5V, for example, under certain working conditions, the high level of the COMP output is only 5V, which will cause the detection circuit to fail to detect the short-circuit.
Does any way to use 5.5V as the thrshold but will not miss the short-circuit condition?
