Hi support team,

Can the PGOOD pin of LMR16030PDDAR be floating?

Can the SS pin of LMR16030SDDAR be a floating?

If both of the above are possible, is it possible to replace LMR16030PDDAR and LMR16030SDDAR?

Even if the SS of LMR16030SDDAR can be floated, LMR16030PDDAR has an internal soft start, so there will be a difference in soft start time, which will be a problem.
Is it possible to connect a SS capacitor to the PGOOD pin of LMR16030PDDAR?

Set the CSS of LMR16030SDDAR to 16nF, set the soft-start time to 4ms, and set it to the internal soft-start time of LMR16030PDDAR.

Hi Dice,

1. PGOOD pin can be floated on LMR16030PDDAR

2. It's OK to connect a SS capacitor to the PGOOD pin of LMR16030PDDAR if the PGOOD pin is not pull up to other voltage.

2. SS pin can NOT be floated on LMR16030SDDAR

You can replace each other based on above requirements.

Thank you for your reply.

Then, as shown in the figure below, I will consider mutual replacement with a capacitor with a practical amount of 16nF as CSS.

For LMR16030P, set CSS to DNP and open PGOOD.

Or we can place 16nF.

The circuit of LMR16030PEVM seems to be able to mount also LMR16030S, so I will refer to it.
